Description

These Circus Animal Cookie Rice Krispie Treats are a delightful combination of flavors and textures, featuring colorful cookies, gooey marshmallows, and crunchy rice krispies. Ingredients

  • circus animal cookies – 9 ounces
  • mini marshmallows – 10 ounces
  • rice krispies cereal – 6 cups
  • unsalted butter – 4 tablespoons
  • multi-colored nonpareils – 3 tablespoons
  • colored sprinkles – 3 tablespoons
  • white chocolate chips – 1/2 cup
  • red food coloring – 1-2 drops
  • heavy cream (optional) – 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Pulse circus animal cookies in a food processor until they become a mix of crumbs and small pieces, reserving 1/2 cup.
  • In a large pot, melt the butter and marshmallows over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and fold in the rice krispies, cookie crumbs, and 2 tablespoons each of nonpareils and colored sprinkles.
  • Gently press the mixture into the prepared pan using a greased silicone spatula.
  • Sprinkle the mixture with the reserved cookie pieces.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips in two separate bowls in the microwave for 30 seconds each.
  • Drizzle the plain melted white chocolate over the treats using a sandwich bag with a cut corner.
  • Add red food coloring to the second bowl to create pink chocolate and drizzle it over the treats in the opposite direction.
  • Add the remaining sprinkles on top, then let cool until set.

Notes

Feel free to customize the sprinkles based on your theme or preference.
These treats can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
For a creamier texture, add a dash of heavy cream when melting the butter and marshmallows.
