Description

This Creamy Alfredo Sauce is rich and flavorful, made from simple ingredients like butter, garlic, and parmesan. It’s ideal for a quick meal or a comforting dinner, bringing restaurant-quality taste to your table with ease.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • up to 1/4 cup hot milk (optional) or pasta water
  • 1 pkg fettuccine noodles – cooked to package directions
  • freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat and add the minced garlic. Let simmer for just a minute.
  • Add in the cream and half and half and whisk until it’s all incorporated, bringing it back to a gentle simmer.
  • Whisk in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the Parmesan cheese and let it melt slowly while stirring.
  • Once the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth, whisk in small amounts of the hot milk or pasta water until reaching your desired consistency.
  • Toss the sauce with the cooked fettuccine noodles and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

Using freshly grated Parmesan cheese enhances the flavor more than pre-grated versions.
For a thicker sauce, reduce the amount of hot milk or pasta water added.
