Description

These Ground Beef Tacos are bursting with flavor and can be prepared in no time! Using simple ingredients like ground beef, spices, and tortillas, this dish makes for a quick, satisfying dinner ideal for any night of the week.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 8 taco-size corn or flour tortillas
  • toppings: shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, avocado

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef, crumbling it with a spatula.
  • If needed, drain any excess grease from the skillet.
  • Lower the heat to medium then stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, oregano, salt, black pepper, tomato sauce, and water.
  • Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes until the meat is fully cooked and the flavors blend together.
  • Serve the beef mixture in warmed tortillas, adding your choice of toppings.

Notes

Feel free to use ground turkey as a leaner alternative to ground beef.
Customize your tacos with different toppings like jalapeños or salsa for added flavor.
Leftover meat can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
