Description

Savor the rich flavors of this Slow Cooker Baileys Irish Cream Hot Chocolate made with Ghirardelli chocolate, cocoa powder, and creamy Baileys. It’s incredibly easy to prepare and perfect for any gathering or cozy evening at home.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz. ghiradelli semi-sweet chocolate baking squares
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup baileys® irish cream
  • marshmallows or whipped cream

Instructions

  • Break the chocolate squares into pieces and place them in the slow cooker.
  • Add all other ingredients except for the Baileys and stir well.
  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 1.5 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
  • Once hot, stir in the Baileys Irish Cream.
  • Set out mugs, whipped cream, and a bowl of marshmallows alongside the slow cooker so guests can serve themselves.
  • Switch the slow cooker to warm mode for your gathering, and it will stay warm for up to 3 hours. Just remember to stir it occasionally.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use higher quality chocolate.
Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar based on your taste preference.
