Description

Enjoy the mouthwatering Air Fryer Sweet and Spicy Salmon packed with bold flavors and easy prep! This dish is perfect for a quick and healthy dinner option, featuring salmon fillets coated in a sweet and spicy seasoning mix.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound salmon, (4) 4-ounce filets
  • 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped; for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel. Apply about 1/2 teaspoon of spicy brown mustard to each salmon filet using a pastry brush. Then, sprinkle each filet with one-fourth of the spice mixture. Let the salmon rest for 10 minutes before cooking.
  4. Place the seasoned salmon filets in the preheated air fryer, ensuring each filet has about an inch of space between them. If needed, cook in batches. Air fry for 6-8 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 135 degrees F.
  5. Remove the filets from the air fryer and transfer them to a plate. Cover with aluminum foil to keep warm while cooking any remaining filets. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the salmon for a few hours before cooking.
Ensure that the salmon fillets are of uniform size for even cooking.
Experiment with different spices in the mix for varied flavor profiles.
