Description

Experience the mouthwatering taste of Apple Dumplings with Crescent Rolls. This simple dessert combines sweet Granny Smith apples wrapped in buttery crescent dough, topped with a sweet syrup and Mountain Dew for the ultimate comfort food. Ideal for gatherings or a delightful treat, this recipe guarantees satisfaction with its irresistible flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (10 oz) pillsbury refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 granny smith apples
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 12 oz mountain dew

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and lightly spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick spray, setting it aside.
  2. Peel, core, and slice the apples, aiming for 8 slices per apple.
  3. Place one apple slice in each crescent roll triangle, starting with the wide end and rolling to the tip while securing the narrow end to keep it in place. Arrange the rolls in the sprayed pan.
  4. Repeat the process until all 16 crescent roll triangles are filled with apple slices and placed in the pan.
  5. In a saucepan, mix the butter, sugar, and cinnamon over low heat until combined.
  6. Pour the mixture evenly over the pan of dumplings, ensuring coverage.
  7. Pour the Mountain Dew over the dumplings in the pan.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes until they appear golden brown.
  9. Serve immediately for the best experience.

Notes

Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
Feel free to add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top for a delicious combination.
Store leftovers in an airtight container, but they are best when fresh.
