Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup lukewarm water
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons italian seasoning
  • extra parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt. Add the egg, grated parmesan cheese, and breadcrumbs before gradually mixing in the water until just combined. Be cautious not to over mix to keep meatballs tender.
  3. Using an ice cream scoop or your hands, roll approximately one tablespoon of the mixture into balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until thoroughly cooked.
  5. Prepare your marinara sauce while the meatballs bake.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of salt based on your personal taste.
Add freshly chopped herbs for an extra flavor boost in your marinara sauce.
These meatballs freeze well, making them great for meal prep.
