Description

Baked Peaches offer irresistible flavor with simple preparation, featuring ripe peaches, butter, and brown sugar, making them a delightful dessert perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 peaches ripe but firm, halved and pitted
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter cut into small cubes
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar light or dark
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • Splash of bourbon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly butter a small baking dish just large enough to hold the peaches snugly.
  2. Place peach halves cut-side up in the baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Sprinkle evenly over the peaches.
  4. Dot each peach half with butter, then drizzle with vanilla, lemon juice, and bourbon.
  5. Divide the brown sugar mixture on top of the peaches.
  6. Bake them for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the peaches are fork-tender and the tops are lightly caramelized.
  7. Serve warm with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Ripe peaches are key for the best flavor.
You can substitute bourbon with a splash of apple juice for a non-alcoholic version.
Serve with whipped cream or yogurt for extra creaminess.
