Description

This Berry Trifle combines layers of fluffy whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and blueberries for a delightful dessert. Simple to prepare, this treat is ideal for parties or family gatherings, bringing that homemade touch everyone loves.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups whipping cream
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 angel food cake (or pound cake, 10 to 12 ounces)
  • 2 pounds strawberries
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 3 tablespoons seedless strawberry jam
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or sugar)
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Whisk the powdered sugar, 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract, and whipping cream in a bowl until soft peaks form.
  2. Cut the angel food cake into cubes.
  3. Layer the cake cubes at the bottom of a trifle dish.
  4. Spread a layer of the whipped cream mixture over the cake.
  5. Add a layer of sliced strawberries, followed by blueberries.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream and a mix of berries on top.

Notes

For a sweeter flavor, adjust the sugar to taste.
You can use fresh or frozen berries depending on seasonality.
This trifle can be prepared a few hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
