Description

This Brie and Fig Puff Pastry combines delightful flavors of brie cheese, fig jam, and honey, wrapped in flaky pastry for a quick, sophisticated treat perfect for parties or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 ounces brie cheese wheel
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3/4 cup fig jam
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary, minced
  • 3 tablespoons gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Thaw the puff pastry sheet by removing it from its packaging and letting it sit at room temperature for about 40 minutes.
  3. Prepare a small baking sheet with parchment paper and unfold the puff pastry onto it. Place the brie wheel in the center of the pastry.
  4. Add honey, fig jam, minced rosemary, and gorgonzola cheese on top of the brie.
  5. Carefully fold the four corners of the puff pastry toward the center, ensuring the ingredients are enclosed. Brush with water to hold it together, then fold the corners again to fully secure the brie inside.
  6. In a small bowl, beat the egg with water and brush this egg wash over the outside of the pastry.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-24 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and shiny.
  8. After baking, transfer the Baked Brie to a serving dish or plate. Serve warm with crackers, baguettes, crostini, or fruit.

Notes

Make sure the puff pastry is fully thawed before using for best texture.
For a sweeter flavor, drizzle more honey over the baked brie before serving.
Pair with red wine for an elevated experience.
