Description

This Caramel Apple Bundt Cake is a delightful dessert featuring moist cake, fresh diced apples, and a sweet caramel glaze. It’s easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 cups diced apples (about 3 apples, peeled)
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 6 tablespoons milk, divided
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a bundt pan or use baking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the softened butter and beat until crumbly. Beat in the eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and milk until smooth and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. In a separate small bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Gently fold this mixture into the cake batter.
  4. Pour the cake batter into the prepared bundt pan. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until golden brown. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a cake plate to cool completely.
  5. For the glaze, combine brown sugar, butter, and 4 tablespoons of milk in a small saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring constantly, until boiling. Boil for 2 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Let it cool for 15 minutes.
  6. In a mixing bowl, mix the cooled sugar mixture with powdered sugar and the remaining 2 tablespoons of milk. Beat until smooth for about 2 minutes. Pour the glaze over the cooled cake and let it set for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a variation, try adding nuts like walnuts or pecans for extra crunch.
Make sure the apples are peeled and diced small for even distribution in the cake.
The glaze can be adjusted by adding more or less powdered sugar depending on the desired sweetness.
