Description

Caramelized Figs bring a delightful combination of juicy figs and sweet honey, perfect for a quick and delicious dessert. This easy recipe features simple ingredients like Greek yogurt and toasted pistachios, making it a delightful treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 4-inch sprig thyme
  • 3 large figs, cut in half
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 ounces greek yogurt, plain or vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons pistachios, toasted

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium skillet over medium-low heat and add honey and thyme leaves. Cook for about 1 minute.
  2. Add the fig halves cut-side down into the honey and caramelize for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Use tongs to turn the figs over and sauté for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Serve the caramelized figs over Greek yogurt, drizzled with thyme honey and topped with toasted pistachios.

Notes

Toasting pistachios enhances their flavor; be careful not to burn them.
For extra sweetness, add more honey as desired.
Try using different herbs like rosemary for a unique twist.
