- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or as needed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9×13-inch cake pan by greasing it and dusting it lightly with flour, or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, vegetable oil, melted butter, and buttermilk until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the shredded zucchini and then stir in the chocolate chips to distribute evenly.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before adding any frosting.

Make sure to squeeze out excess moisture from zucchini for the best texture.
