- 1 cup parboiled white rice
- ¼ cup grated carrot
- ¼ cup raisins (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 medium green cabbage
- Fresh dill, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced onion and salt; sauté until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic and sauté for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Incorporate the tomato sauce, vegetable broth, sugar, and black pepper, stirring well.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Adjust salt and black pepper to taste, then set aside.
Notes
Use fresh cabbage leaves for easier rolling.
