Description

Enjoy the irresistible flavor of Fig and Prosciutto Crostini, combining savory prosciutto, sweet figs, and creamy Gorgonzola on toasted baguette. Perfect for gatherings or a simple, satisfying snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons pistachios, toasted
  • 1 small baguette, cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • 6 slices prosciutto, cut in half lengthwise
  • 6 large figs, cut into slices
  • 4 ounces Gorgonzola cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Chop the pistachios roughly, then toast them in a sauté pan over medium heat until fragrant and lightly golden brown, stirring frequently. Set aside to cool.
  3. Arrange the baguette slices on a small baking sheet and toast in the preheated oven for 6-7 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  4. On a platter, layer the toasted crostini with half a slice of prosciutto, 3-4 slices of fig, and about 1/2 tablespoon of Gorgonzola cheese on each. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with toasted pistachios.

Notes

Use fresh figs for the best flavor and texture.
Gorgonzola can be replaced with goat cheese for a milder taste.
Serve immediately after assembling for optimal freshness.
