Description

These Fudgy Vegan Brownies are a delightfully rich treat made with applesauce and dark chocolate, perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings while keeping it wholesome. Easy to make and loaded with flavor, they’re ideal for quick snacks or dessert lovers seeking a guilt-free indulgence.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup (118ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 ½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • ½ cup (20g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 ounces (113g) unsweetened applesauce (about ½ cup)
  • 2 ounces (57g) unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups (186g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips (Vegan ones, to keep it vegan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 9×9” pan with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, mix vegetable oil and granulated sugar together. Stir in vanilla, cocoa powder, and applesauce. Add the melted chocolate and salt, stirring until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Gradually mix in all-purpose flour until blended. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-28 minutes. Allow to cool before slicing.
  5. Optionally, top with powdered sugar for an elegant finish.

Notes

Ensure to use vegan chocolate chips to keep the recipe vegan-friendly.
For an extra fudgy texture, do not overbake the brownies—check with a toothpick for doneness.
