Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail on
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice from 1 lemon, about 3 Tablespoons of juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground or cracked pepper
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt, and ground pepper.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss well to coat. Allow the shrimp to marinate for approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated shrimp onto metal skewers or soaked wooden skewers, then discard the remaining marinade.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the shrimp skewers on the grill and cook for about 2 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from the grill and serve hot, optionally with lemon wedges.
Notes
Shrimp can be marinated longer for more flavor, but avoid exceeding 1 hour to prevent rubbery texture.
Grilling times may vary depending on the size of the shrimp and the heat of the grill.
