Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour, plus more for kneading and rolling
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
- 2/3 cup (160ml) water
- 3 tablespoons (45ml) extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
- flaky sea salt, for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and rosemary. Add the water and olive oil, stirring until the dough forms a clump.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes until it forms a ball. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 10 minutes to 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cut the dough in half, keeping one half covered. Roll out the other half on a floured surface to about 1/16th inch thickness.
- Cut the rolled dough into rectangles about 3 x 1.5 inches and transfer to the prepared sheets.
- Repeat for the second half of the dough.
- Poke holes in the dough with a fork, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Bake for 9-12 minutes until golden brown, rotating sheets halfway.
- Cool completely on the baking sheets on a rack. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
Notes
These crackers pair well with various dips like hummus and crab dip.
Experiment with other herbs and spices to create different flavor profiles.
