Description

These Make Ahead Crockpot Mashed Potatoes showcase creamy goodness and irresistible flavor. With simple prep and ingredients like garlic and sour cream, they make for a comforting, easy meal that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 medium potatoes
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes and place them, skin on, in a large crock pot. Add whole garlic cloves and chicken broth.
  2. Cook on high for 3-4 hours, or on low for 4-5 hours, until the potatoes are fork tender.
  3. Incorporate sour cream, butter, salt, pepper, and oregano. Use a potato masher to mash while mixing these ingredients together.
  4. Stir in milk gradually until the mashed potatoes reach your desired consistency. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper as necessary.

Notes

Feel free to vary the herbs based on your preference for a different flavor profile.
You can keep the mashed potatoes warm in the crockpot on the ‘warm’ setting if serving later.
