Description

This Mint Oreo Ice Cream Dessert combines the refreshing flavor of mint chip ice cream with crushed Oreo cookies for a delightful treat. It’s easy to prepare and perfect for any gathering, offering layers of flavor that will impress your guests without requiring too much effort in the kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (13.29 ounces) Oreo cookies, about 45 cookies
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 quarts mint chip ice cream, softened
  • 1 jar (12 ounces) hot fudge topping, divided
  • 1 tub (8 ounces) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/3 cup chopped Andes mints

Instructions

  1. Crush all of the Oreo cookies in a food processor.
  2. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the crushed cookies and set aside.
  3. Mix the melted butter with the remaining cookie crumbs and pulse until combined.
  4. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan.
  5. Layer half of the mint chip ice cream over the crust and smooth it out.
  6. Spread most of the hot fudge over the ice cream, saving a couple of tablespoons for later.
  7. Add the remaining ice cream on top, smoothing the surface.
  8. Cover with foil and freeze for 6 hours or overnight.
  9. Spread the whipped topping over the ice cream, then garnish with the reserved fudge, crushed Oreos, and chopped Andes mints.
  10. Serve immediately or place back in the freezer until you're ready to enjoy.

Notes

You can substitute mint chip ice cream with any flavor you prefer.
Feel free to add more crushed Oreos on top for extra crunch.
Thaw the ice cream slightly for easier spreading.
