Description

This Peach Pie Filling offers a delightful blend of juicy peaches and sweet spices, perfect for your pies or as a topping! Quick to make and bursting with flavor, it’s a must-try for any fruit lover.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe peaches, cubed
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Cube the peaches. If frozen, thaw them first. If fresh, peel before cubing.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
  3. Heat the mixture until the peach juice separates and comes to a simmer.
  4. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened. Lightly mash about 20% of the peaches with a potato masher.
  5. Cook for an additional minute, then remove from heat. Cool completely before using.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe peaches for the best flavor.
This filling can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Ideal for pie, desserts, or as a topping for yogurt.
