- 1 ½ cups (12 oz/340 g) granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs , at room temperature
- 1 cup (8 fl oz/240 ml) whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Butter a 9-inch (20 cm) round cake pan and set it aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter, and salt, warming over medium-low heat until melted and simmering, then pour the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
- Arrange the peach slices in a tight circular pattern over the brown sugar syrup, starting from the center and working outward.
