Description

These Prosciutto Wrapped Figs highlight the combination of sweet figs, savory prosciutto, and creamy gorgonzola in a quick and delightful appetizer. Perfect for gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large figs, cut in half
  • 6 slices prosciutto, cut in half lengthwise
  • 4 tablespoons gorgonzola cheese
  • 4 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Prepare the figs by washing, drying, removing the stems, and slicing them in half.
  2. Line up the fig halves with the cut side facing up. Top each fig half with about 1/2 tablespoon of gorgonzola cheese.
  3. Wrap a slice of prosciutto around each fig, ensuring the cheese is covered.
  4. Arrange the prosciutto wrapped figs on a serving platter and drizzle honey over each one.

Notes

For extra flavor, use aged gorgonzola cheese.
Feel free to substitute figs with similar fruits like apricots if necessary.
Serve immediately for the best taste, but they can be prepared a few hours in advance.
