Description

These Red, White, and Blue Tortilla Cups are a delightful dessert combining crispy tortilla cups with luscious whipped cream and fresh berries. Simple to prepare and bursting with flavor, they are ideal for family gatherings or festive occasions.


Ingredients

  • 3 small flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp natural sweetener
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
  • Optional: cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Cut the tortillas into quarters using a pizza slicer.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted coconut oil and honey until mixed well.
  4. Brush each tortilla piece with the coconut oil mixture and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  5. Press three tortilla triangles into a muffin pan to shape into cups.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from the pan and let cool.
  7. In a mixing bowl, combine whipping cream, sweetener, and vanilla. Whip until small peaks form.
  8. Spoon or pipe whipped cream into each tortilla cup.
  9. Top the whipped cream with fresh berries.
  10. If desired, sprinkle cocoa powder on top.

Notes

For extra sweetness, adjust honey and sweetener to taste.
These cups can be made in advance; fill them just before serving for maximum freshness.
Experiment with different berries based on the season.
