Description

This Spicy Chimichurri Sauce with Jalapeño brings bold flavors together with fresh herbs and spices. Perfect for topping grilled meats, this easy recipe is a must-have for a tangy, flavorful addition to any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 jalapeño, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup parsley
  • 1 cup cilantro
  • 1 shallot, roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a high-powered blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until reaching your preferred consistency, either slightly chunky or smooth.
  3. If needed, pause the blender to push down ingredients for thorough mixing.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
  5. Allow to sit for a few hours to develop the best flavor.

Notes

For less heat, remove the seeds from the jalapeño before blending.
This sauce pairs wonderfully with grilled meats or as a dipping sauce for veggies.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
