Description

These Strawberry Cottage Cheese Bagels are a delightful treat featuring a perfect blend of creamy cottage cheese and sweet strawberry powder. They’re simple to prepare and make for a wonderful breakfast or snack option that is both delicious and satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup blended cottage cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons freeze-dried strawberry powder
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350℉.
  2. Combine blended cottage cheese, flour, baking powder, sea salt, freeze-dried strawberry powder, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Stir until mixed, then form into a dough ball by pressing it together with your hands.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead until smooth, adding more flour if it is sticky.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts, shape each into a ball, and flatten lightly. Poke a hole in the center of each with a rounded spoon or finger, stretching it slightly to keep it open while frying.
  5. Brush each bagel with egg wash on both top and bottom surfaces.
  6. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and air fry the bagels for 6 minutes. Flip them and air fry for another 6 minutes, possibly in batches if necessary.
  7. Remove the bagels from the air fryer and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Enjoy with your favorite bagel toppings.

Notes

Feel free to substitute regular flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
Ensure the hole in the bagels is large enough to prevent closing during cooking.
These bagels are best served fresh, but you can store them in an airtight container for a day.
