Description

This Sushi Bowl combines irresistible flavors and simple preparation. Featuring sushi rice, fresh avocado, and imitation crab, it’s a delightful choice for an easy dinner that feels like a special treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice rinsed until the water runs clear
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 garlic clove finely minced or pressed
  • 16 ounces imitation crab meat
  • 1 avocado cut into slices
  • 1 cup shelled edamame
  • 2 carrots peeled and cut into match sticks
  • 4 mini cucumbers sliced thin
  • .35 ounce roasted seaweed
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Bring sushi rice and water to a boil in a small pot.
  2. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.
  3. While rice cooks, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and kosher salt until dissolved.
  4. Once rice is done, stir in the vinegar mixture until well combined.

Notes

Rinse sushi rice until water is clear to remove excess starch for better texture.
Feel free to customize toppings with your favorite sushi ingredients.
Adjust sriracha sauce to your spice preference for the mayonnaise.
