- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 ½ pounds)
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- ⅓ cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 ½ cups herb stuffing mix
- ¼ cup melted salted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Place the chicken breasts in the baking dish and layer with the Swiss cheese slices.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, and onion powder. Spread this mixture evenly over the chicken and cheese.
- In another bowl, combine the herb stuffing mix with the melted butter and distribute it evenly on top of the chicken.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the chicken reaches 165°F internally and the stuffing is golden.
Notes
For added flavor, consider seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and pepper before baking.
